Accomplishments

 

•Combined Zoning Board of Appeals and Planning Board together to save local businesses time & money.

•Instrumental in the addition of 6 EV chargers to the Village of Hilton.  

 

•Removed the old bus garage on Grove Street and in a joint effort with the Town of Parma, Hilton Central School District and Hilton Fire Department, built a salt shed to be shared by these entities saving tax payers $300,000.

 

•Worked closely with Monroe County and the Public Safety Commissioners to have a safety tower installed in the Village for better communication for the Police and Fire Departments.

 

•Sold vacant properties in the Village saving the taxpayers money by increasing our tax base.

 

•Reorganized our Village Office personnel through attrition, saving taxpayers money.

 

•Worked with Village staff and Town of Parma to Successfully receive grant money for the Record Management Project.

 

•Worked very hard, and continues to work hard, with local businesses in the Village such as Tops and Hilton Family Dentist, realizing the importance of keeping Businesses successful in the Village.

 

•Worked with Zone Entity to make the Hilton Community Center a designated "safe place" to provide immediate assistance for youths in crisis.

 

•Presided over every monthly Village Board of Trustees meetings since becoming Mayor.

 

•Initiated the Veterans Wall of Honor in the Community Center through donations. There are currently more than 300 pictures on the wall.

 

•Worked with and supported local Veterans and was instrumental in obtaining American Flags on the poles in the Village.

 

•Helped establish the Car Cruise Night in the Village as well as Classic Cars on Main St.

 

•Chairperson of the Hilton Apple Fest and continues as a Board Member.

 

•Instrumental in planning the Village Musical Christmas Float with the help of donations from different organizations.
