·Mayor Joe Lee, along with fellow Lions Club members spend a Saturday at the Empire State Speech and Hearing Clinic located near Ithaca, the Lions' Camp Badger. Lions Camp Badger is a state approved, residential, six week summer school for special education students. The facility holds its classes in a summer camp setting to help make learning more enjoyable. The Hilton Lions Club has adopted a cabin on the 400 acre facility and annually provides the needed repairs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

·Mayor Joe Lee, Ralph Preston and Ken Robertson, all members of the Hilton Lions Club, flank Joe Bullis sitting in his Rascal Motor Scooter at Joe's former newspaper selling spot at the corner of South Avenue and Main Street in Hilton.  Joe had been selling newspapers at that spot for over 23 years and has physical difficulties which prevent him from driving a car, so the Lions Club decided to provide him with motorized transportation to travel around the village. The local club obtained the scooter from the Northside Lions Club Loan Closet, in Greece, and brought it up to optimum condition with fresh batteries donated by the Hilton NAPA and repairs by the three men shown here along with fellow club member Andy Kelly. ·Santa (Mayor Joe Lee) and his helpers on The Village of Hilton's annual Christmas Float.  The Christmas Float idea, initiated by Mayor Joe Lee, was brought to fruition through donations for the LED lights by the Hilton Apple Fest, Lions Club, the Hilton-Parma-Hamlin Chamber of Commerce and the Knights of Columbus, Chapter 9461. Rick Bjornholm, Chairman of the Hilton Zoning Board, programmed the battery-operated computer-controlled lights on the sides of the trailer and the Christmas tree at the end of the trailer to be flashing synchronous to the music, adding greatly to the overall effect. The truck and trailer were provided by the Hilton DPW, who also modified the trailer; the bales of hay were donated by the Eichas Farm.
